Lisa Forstinger

Lisa Forstinger

Lisa Forstinger is a queer, Niagara-based visual artist. Lisa has been passionately studying watercolour as their primary medium for the past 4 years, after a colour theory course at the Willow sparked their interest. The unpredictable nature of watercolour has helped Lisa break free from perfectionistic tendencies and express herself through vivid, dreamy colours. She believes in using the arts as a method of personal healing and healthy expression, and their art practice is closely linked to their emotions and mental health. Lisa has extensive experience in many other art forms, including fibre arts, drawing/illustration, collage, digital art and sculpting. She finds inspiration through a love of nature and fantasy, as well as in colours witnessed through everyday observation. Instructing an art class has been a long-time dream for Lisa, and she is thrilled to be able to share her talent and knowledge with the wonderful humans in this community.
