Budding photographer and artist Suzanne Nickel was born in St. Catharines, Ontario and has lived in the Niagara region for her entire life. Retired after 35 years as a Program Director and fundraiser for various charities, Suzanne has combined her hobbies of photography and travel to share special moments with others. She enjoys photographing wildlife and flowers but dabbles in architectural detail and landscapes too. Trying to capture that special moment in time, to share with others is her pleasure.
She used her cell phone for these and many other shots from her recent series, My Garden Splendor 2019 and Magnificent Maui 2019. Suzanne does series of photos from her travels around the globe. She has a previous series entitled, Adventures in Algonquin, Roaming the Rockies, Maritime Magic, Southern Splendor and Landscapes of Central Europe. Suzanne also enjoys creating paintings from her photographs in watercolor and acrylics. Currently working on a series entitled, Beauty of Belgium and Awesome Austria, Suzanne plans to expand her photography business and continue to share her photographs with anyone who shares her love of photography. A portion of all Suzanne’s photography sales go to support Mental Health Services in the Niagara region.
